Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment safely within the Medical Center. You will follow body mechanics and safety protocols while coordinating with departments using Epic software to track movement.

Two years of customer service experience and a CPR/BLS certification are preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Requires CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification.
• Two years of customer service experience.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
