Mercy is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients and equipment across the Medical Center. You will ensure safe transport and proper body mechanics while coordinating with multiple departments.
The role requires strong customer service, ability to use Epic software for tracking, and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.

Experience:
Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Two years customer service experience.
