Job summary

Mercy Transportation is seeking a motivated transporter in Fort Smith to move patients and equipment between hospital departments, ensuring safe body mechanics and accurate tracking with Epic software.

You will collaborate with colleagues, perform assigned patient-related tasks, and uphold safety and quality standards while meeting physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Two years customer service experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification.
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical requirements: lift 50 lbs regularly; prolonged standing and walking; flexibility to bend, reach and twist.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center.
• Performs various patient-related activities as assigned.
• Maintains PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Collaborates with co-workers within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
• Uses Epic software to track patients and equipment movements throughout the facility.
