• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time PATIENT TRANSPORTER positions.

Job Summary

Patient Transporter: Facilitating internal hospital patient moves.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and the patient.
• Use wheelchairs and approved rolling stock for patient transport.
• Transport all age groups competently.
• Ensure timely, accurate transport using proper equipment.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff and dispatch.
• Ensure patient comfort, offer blankets, respect modesty, and avoid transporting patients in severe pain.
• Report signs of distress or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Follow regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
