Job Summary

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items within the hospital.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Transport patients safely, securing IVs and drainage tubes, and ensuring patient comfort and modesty.
2. Use wheelchairs and other approved equipment for transportation.
3. Demonstrate competency across all age groups.
4. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and patients.
5. Report any patient distress or equipment malfunction immediately.
6. Maintain and report on equipment condition.
7. Comply with all regulatory standards and confidentiality policies.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
