Job Summary

Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items within the hospital.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely, securing IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and ensuring patient comfort.
• Use wheelchairs and approved rolling stock for patient transportation.
• Demonstrate competency across all age groups.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy, never transport patients in severe pain.
• Report any patient distress or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Follow all regulatory standards and confidentiality policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
