Job summary

UF Health seeks a hospital transporter to move patients safely and efficiently within our Leesburg facility. You will support patient comfort and basic care during transport while maintaining clean, orderly transport corridors and equipment.

Under supervision of the care administration leadership, you will help coordinate patient flow with nursing, medical, and ancillary staff to ensure timely care delivery and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and promptly throughout the facility.
• Provide basic care and comfort measures as needed during transport.

Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Administration, Supervisor, RN, and LPN, the transporter is responsible for providing safe, timely transportation of patients throughout the facility. Providing safety, basic physical care, and comfort measures for patients; as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment. Helps coordinate the flow of patients between nursing, medical and ancillary staff.

• Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
