Job summary

UF Health is looking for a patient transporter to safely move patients throughout the Florida facility. Under direction from nursing leadership, you will support patient safety, basic care, and comfort, while helping maintain a clean transport environment.

You will coordinate patient flow between nursing, medical, and ancillary staff to ensure efficient, timely care. The role requires good reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English and a High School Diploma or GED, plus Basic Life

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proper body mechanics and ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and promptly within the facility.
• Provide basic physical care and comfort measures to patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in transport areas.
• Coordinate patient flow between nursing, medical, and ancillary staff.

Providing safety, basic physical care, and comfort measures for patients; as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment.
