Job summary

UF Health Central Florida in The Villages, FL seeks a patient transporter to move patients safely and promptly across the facility, providing basic care and comfort as needed. You will help keep hallways and rooms clean, supporting smooth patient flow.

You will coordinate with nursing, medical, and ancillary staff to ensure timely and safe transport, with attention to patient dignity and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.

Providing safety, basic physical care, and comfort measures for patients; as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment. Helps coordinate the flow of patients between nursing, medical and ancillary staff.
