Job summary

UF Health Shands Homecare is seeking a transporter to move patients safely and promptly throughout the facility, under supervision.

The role provides basic care, comfort measures, and helps maintain a clean environment while supporting coordination among nursing, medical, and ancillary teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Administration, Supervisor, RN, and LPN, the transporter is responsible for providing safe, timely transportation of patients throughout the facility. Providing safety, basic physical care, and comfort measures for patients; as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment. Helps coordinate the flow of patients between nursing, medical and ancillary staff.
