Job description

Job Title: Patient Transporter

Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.54
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.

Position Summary

• Works closely with all Technologists to coordinate the timing of patient transport.
• Aids Technologists with patient transfer from bed/imaging table to mode of transport.
• Transports patients safely and respectfully, preserving their dignity.
• Hands off the care of each patient at the end of transport.
• Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
• Pulls and files X-ray Jackets from offsite storage.
• Receives and returns outside films.
• Imports CDs into PACS.
• Monitors Auto Faxing portion of report distribution.
• Attends to legal correspondence.
• Performs other duties as requested by Office Manager or Director.
• Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members, and visitors.
