Qualifications

• Assist with patient movement and transportation
• Maintain patient privacy during transport
• Communicate delays and updates to the department

Responsibilities

• Insures the comfort of the patient while transporting
• Transports using wheelchairs and stretchers
• Checks two forms of patient identification prior to transporting
• Completes an In-Patient transport within 20 minutes
• Communicates any delays back to department
• When delay is encountered, calls dept. for new assignment
• Transports equipment and supplies as directed
• Maintains and cleans transportation equipment
• Responds to emergencies and spills as needed
• Executes department education and directions from supervisors
