Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients to and from the program and appointments in Scottsdale. This PRN/per diem role requires punctual, safe transport and may include assisting with patient activities.

The position offers Saturday availability with potential to grow into full-time, and requires a high school diploma, and a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record; EMT/CNA or related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred education: nursing assistance or related field (2+ years).
• Passenger transportation experience required.
• Behavioral health or hospital experience preferred.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean 39 month driving record.
• Preferred certifications: EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, or related.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the program and appointments safely and punctually.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance: fueling, checking/maintaining fluids, tire inflation.
• Assist with patient activities between transports as needed.
• Transport meals from nearby facility and support other areas as assigned.
