Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter PRN to greet and transport patients across departments using proper safety techniques. You will assist clinical staff with transfers and help deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to designated destinations.

The role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced hospital environment with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• Collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.
