Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Patient Transporter (PRN). You will greet patients and transport them to and from all major departments using proper safety techniques and transportation methods.

You will support clinical staff by moving patients, assisting with transfers, collecting and delivering specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment. Current BLS is required; Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• One year related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and move patients/equipment.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.

We are currently recruiting for a Transporter to join our team! As our Transporter, you will be responsible for greeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation.

What you will do in this role:

• You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

What Qualifications you will need:

• At least one year of related experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
