Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter PRN to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas, assisting staff and greeting visitors while upholding safety standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. BLS certification is required, with Basic Life Support obtained within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• Collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for a Transporter to join our team! As our Transporter, you willberesponsible forgreeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

What Qualifications you will need:

• At least one year of related experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Current BLS through the American Heart Associationisrequired

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
