Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Transporter to join our team in Gainesville, FL. The role involves greeting patients, transporting them to and from departments, and assisting clinical staff with transfers using safe techniques.

You will also be responsible for delivering specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to designated locations within the hospital, while maintaining excellent customer service and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• Collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.
