Job summary

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital in Sebastian, FL is seeking a transporter who will move patients, equipment, supplies and lab specimens across the campus. You will help patients get on and off beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, while maintaining a clean, safe environment and following HIPAA guidelines.

You will operate Epic Transportation Dispatching and Bed Tracking systems, communicate with nursing units, and support the department’s productivity standards with reliable, courteous

Qualifications

• Six months customer service experience preferred.
• BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Must complete all mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient transport of patients to all areas of the hospital.
• Communicates vital patient information with the department manager, group leads, and other team members.
• Responsible for reaching productivity standards established by the department.
• Transports charts and specimens in a confidential manner.
• Maintains transportation equipment and ensures cleanliness and sanitary condition.
• Operates Epic Transportation Dispatching system effectively.
