The team supports patients, families and hospital operations across Ascension Health facilities, delivering care with compassion and reliability. As a Patient Transporter, you will move patients and equipment safely, coordinate with nursing and dispatch, and ensure comfort,

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items.
• Uses wheelchairs and other rolling stock to perform duties as required.
• Communicates effectively with nursing staff, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch.
• Ensures patient comfort and privacy; avoids unnecessary conversations with patients.
• Alerts nursing staff to patient distress or equipment malfunction.
• Maintains equipment and reports repairs; adheres to HIPAA policies.
