Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville is seeking a Patient Transport professional for a full-time night shift (9pm–7:30am, Thu-Sun with rotating holidays). You will transport patients, assist with equipment, and support safe, efficient care delivery across wards and units.

The role requires a high-school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to lift and move heavy loads. AHS BLS certification and patient-focused service are preferred components of this position.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Minimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience.
• Physical requirements include lifting over 50 lbs and pushing/pulling heavy loads.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or other means under supervision.
• Disconnect and reconnect IV pumps from IV poles and oxygen as needed.
• Deliver patient equipment to nursing floors and other locations.
• Adhere to established policies to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.23 - $25.52 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time
• Hours: 9pm - 7:30am, Thursday - Sunday & rotating holiday schedule....as needed

What you will need:

Education (Required):

• High-school diploma

Certification:

o American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider

Experience & Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Minimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience
• Work conditions include working in an area that is somewhat unpleasant due to drafts, noise, temperature variation or the like, and working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle strains.
• Functional demands are very heavy, needing very high energy level. Work requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet. Push/pull > 200 lbs. (i.e. Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer or max assist sit to stand transfer.

What you will do:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or alternative means. This includes disconnecting and re-connecting patient's IV pumps from the IV pole and oxygen. Delivers patient equipment to nursing floors as needed.
