Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility offering the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care, including 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, specimens, and equipment, greeting and assisting patients and visitors as directed.
• Transport patients from their rooms to various locations.
• Retrieve equipment needed for patient transport.
• Complete daily paperwork documenting activities.
• Maintain a safe, healthy working environment.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families with compassion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Physically able to transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
• Ability to work independently utilizing a beeper.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting (50 lbs or more).

Preferred Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
