Responsibilities

The following statements describe the major elements and requirements of the position and are not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include, but are not limited to: darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties. This role also includes clerical duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Additional responsibilities involve filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Radiology Transport/Aide should demonstrate adequate knowledge of radiology terminology, good telephone etiquette, and the ability to greet patients and visitors politely and professionally. The role provides clerical support using telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and running errands throughout the facility.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Must have BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.
  • Transportation experience is preferred.
  • Starting April 2014, all new hires are required to have a High School diploma or equivalent.

The final starting salary will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skills, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
