Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL, is seeking a Patient Transporter to greet and move patients between departments using safe techniques and equipment. You will support clinical staff by transporting patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers while providing courteous, patient-focused service.

You will also assist with collecting and delivering specimens, orders, and equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting, helping ensure smooth operations and timely patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical staff in transferring patients using beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors throughout the hospital.
• Deliver specimens, orders and equipment to appropriate destinations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for a Transporter to join our team! As our Transporter, you willberesponsible forgreeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation.We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

What Qualifications you will need:

• At least one year of related experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Current BLS through the American Heart Associationisrequired

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
