What You'll Be Doing

Transporting inpatients and outpatients to the Radiology Department.

1. Ensure the safe transport of patients and equipment to and from all patient care areas via stretcher, wheelchair, or ambulatory process.
2. Transport patients daily to and from various departments, informing nursing staff of the transport and return, with 100% accuracy in observing safety standards.
3. Ensure railings are in upright position.
4. Maintain intravenous needles in place.
5. Monitor supply flow or oxygen as established by the attending nurse.
6. Secure patients during transport.
7. Communicate clearly and tactfully with patients.
8. Receive assignments from electronic systems, such as hospital-issued phones, and report completed tasks. Also, receive assignments as needed from technical/clinical personnel involved with patient care.
9. Assist patients in moving to wheelchairs or stretchers and transport them to the designated examination rooms.
10. Travel to different patient care areas to obtain stretchers or wheelchairs if unavailable on the floor for scheduled pickups.
11. Return all unused stretchers and wheelchairs to a centralized storage location.
12. Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction scores for the department and hospital.

What We're Looking For

Availability every other weekend and all holidays. Shifts vary.
