Description

We're looking for a Patient Transporter for this entry-level position. The individual will work with patients, providers, nursing teams on hospital units, imaging services technologists, and nurses, playing a critical role in ensuring a great patient experience. The responsibilities include:

• Transporting patients, records, specimens, and equipment to designated areas.
• Responding immediately to emergency patient situations, initiating emergency life-saving techniques such as CPR and crisis management.
• Maintaining lifesaving certifications.
• Using patient tracking and information systems to manage transport requests.
• Operating patient stretcher lifts and following safety policies.
• Securing personal property and maintaining confidentiality.
• Completing MRI Safety training and following safety measures when transporting patients to and from MRI, using MRI-compatible equipment.
• Completing additional training related to PPE use, patient moving techniques, and care of patient equipment like telemetry boxes, IV pumps, and oxygen tanks.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some areas may prefer BLS certification upon hiring.
• Training will be provided if not certified.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
