Overview

Details: This position starts out at $16.00 an hour and will support needs for evening shift/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

Transport patients to and from the point of service, including admissions, discharges, ancillary and other service areas, and perform varied patient/equipment handling duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent, including graduates from an approved IU Health transition-to-work program, with the ability to acquire comparable job knowledge.
  • Training in competencies such as patient oxygen equipment, monitoring levels, patient lifting and transfers, and infection control policies.
  • Ability to follow oxygen transport policies, including attaching and monitoring oxygen tank levels during transport.
  • Ability to frequently work in a standing position and walk extensively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and twist while handling weights.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Basic patient lifting skills through in-service training.
  • No prior experience required.
