Job summary

BHC Alhambra Hospital in Rosemead, CA is seeking a Patient Transportation Specialist on a weekend per diem basis. You will transport patients to and from the facility and interact with them in a friendly, respectful manner while maintaining safety.

No experience is required as we provide training. You must be able to work Saturdays or when needed, possess a valid Class B driver's license with a good driving record, and demonstrate professional conduct with patients and referrals.

ThePatient Transportation Specialistprovides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing friendly respectful interaction and role modeling of positive socialization to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. This position is responsible for providing excellence in customer service to all patients and referral sources and for representing the facility and its programs to the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide encouragement and support to patients in order to help patients meet their outpatient treatment plan goals and objectives.
• Provide a positive experience for patients at all times
• Provide a transportation experience which treats all patients with respect and dignity at all times and is encouraging and supportive of the patient.
• Greet each patient(s) at the van door and opens the van door for each patient assisting the patient into and out of the van as indicated.

Possesses and maintains a validClass B drivers license.

Additional Requirements:Must be 21 years or older and have a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Desire and ability to interact positively with others including patients and referral sources and be a role model is required.
