Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Group Lead, Patient Transportation to coordinate and lead Transportation Services staff within patient care and ancillary areas of the hospital. You will supervise, train, and dispatch a transport team while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a proactive leader who can work independently, ensure efficient patient movement, and communicate effectively with clinicians and caregivers across the facility.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a transporter
• 1 year leadership experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• CPS certification required if area is within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Standards of Behavior and delivers excellent customer service in a team setting.
• Coaches and trains staff using approved methods and materials.
• Dispatches and coordinates transport with clear communication to patient care teams.
• Performs safety checks and maintenance on equipment and transports items across the facility.
• Supports leadership during absences and monitors staff productivity and patient response times.
• Ensures compliance with policies and participates in incident response and huddle meetings.
