Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility) in Desoto County, MS, provides behavioral health services and operates a 148-bed inpatient facility with outpatient programs. The Patient Transportation Driver role is PRN and supports outpatient services, transporting patients safely to appointments and treatment locations.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of driving experience, and a valid MS or TN driver’s license with F Endorsement or CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience; hospital/school/hospitality settings preferred.
• Valid Mississippi or Tennessee driver's license with F Endorsement or CDL.
• Knowledge of Mississippi/Tennessee traffic safety laws.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from outpatient treatment daily in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate with dispatcher and perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Operate GPS devices and cell phones as part of daily duties.

Patient Transportation/Driver- PRN (AS NEEDED)- Outpatient Services

The Patient Transportation Driver provides transportation of patients to and from outpatient treatment daily in a safe and professional manner. Also, this position is available to provide transport for patients to and from medical and needed appointments. Effective communication with dispatcher and managing pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles. Must understand and be able to operate GPS devices and cell phones. Perform all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:

Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of driving experience. Prefer Driving experience in a school, hospital, or hospitality setting.

Licensure/Certification:

Valid Mississippi or Tennessee driver's license with F Endorsement or Commercial Driver License

Knowledge:

Prefer knowledge of Mississippi/Tennessee Traffic Saftey Laws
