Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility in Desoto County, northwest Mississippi, near Memphis, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (PRN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and assist with daily living activities across varied populations including children, adolescents and adults.

Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

Mental Health Technician - PRN (As Needed)- Days

The Mental Health Technician who will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and assistance with activities of daily living. The Mental Health Technician must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male and female children, adolescents and adults as well as dually diagnosed adults.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

CPR Certification
