Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Full-Time Patient Transporters for 1st Shift at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, MI. The role is to transport patients, specimens, supplies and equipment safely and timely to support clinical staff.

Responsibilities include patient identification checks, using appropriate transport gear, safeguarding patient comfort and confidentiality, and reporting delays or equipment issues. Requires high school diploma or GED, COVID-19 vaccination, and post-offer screenings.

Qualifications

• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and transport to destination using safe equipment.
• Ensure safe, timely transport and proper body mechanics.
• Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality during transport.
• Notify staff of delays, changes, or needs for assistance.
• Sanitize transport equipment after each use.
