Job summary

ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital Lakeshore is seeking a Transportation Driver to move patients and equipment to appointments and other locations. You will operate hospital-owned vehicles, maintain clean vehicles, and coordinate with staff to receive instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Six months van transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Assures vehicles are clean and in working order.
• Communicates with hospital staff to receive data and instructions.
• Inspects vehicle daily for safety and comfort.
• Assists with transferring and balancing patients.
• Follows safety and PPE protocols for patient and driver.
• Notifies staff of changes in patient condition.
• May work during inclement weather or staffing emergencies.
• Maintains safety and Infection Prevention standards.
• Maintains regular attendance and completes trainings.
• Performs other duties to support the organization.
