Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support card required.
• Six months van transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Keeps vehicles clean and in working order; cleans interior between patients.
• Communicates with hospital staff to receive data and instructions.
• Inspects vehicle before daily use for safety.
• Assists with transferring patients and ensures comfort.
• Follows patient and vehicle safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
• Notifies staff of changes in patient condition.
• May work during inclement weather or staffing emergencies.
• Maintains safety for patients, visitors, staff; follows Infection Prevention standards.
• Maintains regular attendance.
• Completes required trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
