Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center in Merced, California is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and related items across the campus, delivering a safe, courteous, and high‑quality experience. You will verify patient identification, greet and assist with transfers, and use AIDET and SBAR for communication.

You’ll also help prepare rooms, manage equipment, and support imaging procedures while upholding the highest standards of care.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required on hire.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in medical office or hospital environment preferred.
• Computer experience and experience with safe patient handling devices preferred.

Mansioni

• Transport inpatients and outpatients to designated areas promptly and safely.
• Verify patient identification and assist with transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Use SBAR and AIDET for effective communication with staff and patients.
• Assist in preparing procedure rooms and equipment for imaging procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and report equipment malfunctions.
• Communicate professionally with staff and leaders to support department productivity.
