Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a patient transport team member to move patients between clinical units and diagnostic/treatment areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to deliver high level of customer service.
• Demonstrate compassion, positivity and a helpful attitude in interactions with patients and staff.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS - Basic Life Support by American Heart Association within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds as directed by staff.
• Attend in-service education and departmental meetings for planning and initiatives.
• Support patient throughput and hospital capacity by using transport software.
• Coordinate activities in the discharge holding area.
• Handle portable oxygen cylinders safely and manage transport equipment.
• Receive and document transportation assignments and maintain inventory of equipment.
