Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency with basic computer and keyboarding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs safe and timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and on discharge.
• Conducts rounds for the delivery and pickup of supplies, records, specimens, x-rays, orders, and equipment.
• Responds promptly to stat calls and assists clinical staff as needed.
• Assists in handling calls regarding violent patients and supports take-down procedures; remains available to alleviate heavy workloads.
• Performs stocking duties and reports mechanical malfunctions to staff.
• Transports patient valuables and accompanies the patient; maintains stretchers and wheelchairs in patient-ready condition; safely manages oxygen tanks.
