Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh seeks a Transporter to move patients, records, mail, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility. You will operate the pneumatic tube system and support multiple departments to ensure timely deliveries.

You will also serve as a hospital ambassador, guiding patients and visitors while keeping transport equipment clean and ready for use. Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm with rotational weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Ability to maintain the highest measure of confidentiality.
• Good oral and written communication and strong organizational skills.
• Preferred CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility from start location to destination.
• Delivers equipment, materials and specimens to requesting departments using the pneumatic tube system.
• Serves as a hospital ambassador and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Ensures transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
