Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a transporter to move patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center under supervision. The role requires the ability to lift and transfer patients up to 250 lbs with available assistance for heavier patients, and CPR certification within 30 days of start date.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Education required is a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School, GED equivalency, or equivalent work experience.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and other transport equipment.
• Assist in lifting or placing patients onto and out of transport conveyances and secure patients to equipment while ensuring patient dignity and privacy.
• Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and related transport equipment and locate equipment, specimens, and supplies to designated areas.
