Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Transporter to move patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies around the Medical Center under supervision. You will assist with patient transfers, maintain transport equipment, and support nursing units through efficient par level allocation of transport resources.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or applicable work experience.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, specimens, equipment and supplies throughout the Medical Center using stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and other transport equipment.
• Assist in lifting or placing patients onto/off transport conveyances, ensure proper patient identification and dignity.
• Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and transport equipment.
• Transport and locate equipment, specimens and supplies to designated areas.
