Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Transporter to move patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies around the Medical Center under supervision. You will assist with patient transfers, maintain transport equipment, and support nursing units through efficient par level allocation of transport resources.
The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, transport patients up to 250 pounds with assistance when needed, and to work as part of a team with strong communication in
Under direct supervision, transports patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center in a safe, timely, efficient and courteous manner. Initiates wheelchair, stretcher and bed inventory control to assure adequate par level allocation of this equipment for nursing units and departments.
High School, GED equivalency, or equivalent work experience.
Heart Saver (CPR Certification) within 30 days of start date
