Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson seeks a Patient Transporter to move patients and deliver items across our main and south campus. You will assist nurses, follow isolation and infection control procedures, and use safety equipment to handle patients in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid BLS certification and may involve weekends, holidays, and shift differentials. A strong focus on customer service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret instructions.
• BLS certification required and in-person training per AHA guidelines.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for Banner Behavioral Health Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely between departments following transfer techniques.
• Assists with patient handling using safety equipment and procedures.
• Distributes requested items and medications as needed per procedures.
• Responds to job calls promptly and uses the computer system to track requests.
• Collects, cleans and disinfects patient care equipment and reusable items.
• Might operate golf cart to provide distribution services.
