Job summary

ReGenesis Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Patient Transportation Service Representative to ensure reliable and courteous transport for patients, maintaining safety and vehicle records. You will drive center vehicles, interact with patients and staff in a calm, professional manner, and help with passenger assistance, including handicapped riders and ramp operations.

Excellent pay up to $19.00 per hour, with full-time benefits and quarterly incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Defensive driving required.
• 4+ years of driving experience.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred; read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Provide a communication link between customers and staff.
• Maintain records on trip sheets, transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel, and reports.
• Communicate changes in schedule and patient cancellations promptly.
• Read maps and plan efficient routes for patient transportation.
• Verify patient identity before transport.
• Assist passengers, including handicapped, with entering/exiting and ramp use.

As a Patient Transportation Service Representative, you will ensure patients of ReGenesis Health Care are provided with reliable and courteous transportation with safety as a top priority and will maintain vehicle records. You will drive health centers vehicles, interacts with patients, staff, and the public in a calm, courteous, confident manner. You will maintain a pleasant, friendly, professional demeanor with patients and staff always.

Excellent pay up to $19.00 an hour based upon experience with excellent full-time benefits and quarterly incentive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Provide a communication link between customers and staff
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, patient transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, and other records that are requested from leadership.
• Provide continuous communication between patient and the health center staff. Report any change in schedule including any patient cancellations.
• Read and interpret maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for patients,
• Ensure patient is properly identified before transporting.
• Assist passengers, including handicapped, in and out of the vehicle; operates ramp and lift, escort to health center lobby, and open doors for them as needed
• Performs daily vehicle checks and maintains van ensuring that it is mechanically safe.
• Fuel the assigned vehicle adequately.
• Works flexible shifts as work dictates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
