Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Patient Transporter to mobilize patients, equipment, and specimens within the facility. The role requires effective communication, safety-first planning, and ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse with lift equipment and transport aids.

Shift times include an 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM schedule. A HS diploma and BLS certification are required; hospital experience is preferred. The position operates under a SEIU-UHW collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and items using lift equipment and mobilization aids.
• Maintain safety and proper use of transport tracking system and hand-off protocols.
• Communicate effectively with staff and patients to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with patient transfers and mobilization under RN supervision.
• Maintain logs and identify barriers to transport; ensure cleanliness and safety of equipment.
