Job summary

Qualifications

• CPR/BLs required per AHA standards with demonstration within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to perform transport duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and disinfecting procedures on transportation equipment.
• Record transportation data electronically or manually as required.
• Deliver supplies, equipment, medication and materials to patient units in a safe, timely, and accurate manner and ensure med handoff with nurses.
• Report status of transportation activities and any abnormal events to the manager.
• Transport patients and adjunct equipment between units and treatment centers safely and timely.
• Maintain courteous professional demeanor with patients, visitors, hospital personnel and colleagues.
