Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients, records, and supplies throughout the facility. You will ensure safe patient transfers and timely delivery of essential items, coordinating with nursing and support staff as needed.

The role requires compliance with safety and infection control policies and the ability to adapt to various transport tasks within hospital departments. High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between departments and testing areas by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Delivers medical records, test results, specimens, mail, supplies, equipment, medication, and other items as requested.
• Assist in transfer of patients from bed to transport and back, requesting nursing staff support as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control policies (OSHA, PPE, hand washing, isolation procedures).
• Other duties as assigned.
