Job summary

Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospital is seeking a Driver to safely transport staff, patients and visitors in a professional manner. The role includes vehicle inspections, minor maintenance, and monitoring grounds for security concerns. The schedule features 40 hours per week with a shift from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in a full-time capacity.

A clean driving record and MI licenses with endorsements, along with BLS/CPR training, are required or preferred to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must have excellent driving record.
• LIC-Driver's License - Endorsement P (Passenger) - MI
• LIC-Chauffeur License - MI
• CRT-BLS (AHA) or Heartsaver acceptable within 90 days
• LIC-Commercial Driver License - MI
• LIC-Drivers License - MDOT Medical Physical - MI

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
• Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
• Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
• Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy
