Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Driver to transport staff, patients, and visitors safely in a professional manner. The role includes vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and monitoring for security issues, with night hours from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The position requires a valid MI Driver’s License with endorsements, a clean driving record, and applicable Basic Life Support certifications, with coordination through Dispatch and adherence to department policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 20 years of age.
Must have excellent driving record.
Valid MI driver licenses and endorsements listed above.
Basic Life Support certification or equivalent may be required.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations.
Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate.
Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department.
Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy.
