Huntsville Hospital Health System in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Patient Transport Associate to support mobility within the department, move patients to nursing units and to ancillary departments, and assist with 1:1 direct observation for suicide precautions in partnership with nursing.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and prior medical or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained in the orientation period.
• Experience: Prior medical and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with emergency procedures and standard nursing procedures.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and handle multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Provides assistance by transporting patients within the department, to nursing units and to ancillary departments.
• In partnership with nursing, assists in providing 1:1 direct observation of patients on suicide precautions.
