Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support the nursing unit by performing technical patient care tasks, taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, transport, and discharge, as well as providing clerical support as needed.

The role requires HS/GED, BCLS by orientation, and prior patient care or clerical experience; familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. This position offers opportunities within a leading regional health system.

Formación

• HS/GED is required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Huntsville Hospital Health Care Assistant course is preferred.
• BCLS is required by the end of orientation.
• Experience: prior patient care and/or two years clerical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide vital signs and activities of daily living support.
• Assist with transport and discharge of patients.
• Enter patient charges and maintain charts and unit files.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment and assist visitors and staff as needed.
