Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Transportation Supervisor for mid-shift operations. You will oversee Central Transport, lobby areas, and staff, coordinating with EVS, Valet Parking, Information Desk, Security, and police to ensure smooth lobby operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, performance reviews, and daily huddles; ensuring OSHA, JCAHO, and infection prevention standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of supervisory/lead experience including interviewing, coaching, developing, and teaching entry level staff.
• Less than 1 year of patient or guest transport in mobility assistance (wheelchair) or lobby attendant experience.
• Associate degree in related field is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lobby operations and transport staff across hospital campuses.
• Coordinate daily activities and staff schedules; lead daily huddles with related departments.
• Interview applicants and recommend hiring, promotions, and transfers.
• Ensure staff are trained on safety policies, OSHA/JCAHO standards, and infection control.
• Maintain documentation, conduct performance appraisals, and address staff issues.
